Jim Healy specializes in qualitative research for high-tech business and consumer markets. Jim's 15+ years in high-tech
marketing and market research include experience as client, agency and supplier, covering a broad range of product development,
positioning and marketing communications issues.
Jim began his marketing career in 1985 as a research analyst with Hewlett-Packard in Geneva, Switzerland. Following subsequent
market research and product management positions with HP in both Switzerland and the US, Jim moved to Apple Computer (1991-94),
where he specialized in marketing communications research, supporting the positioning and launch of the PowerBook, Performa
and PowerPC product lines.
On the agency side, Jim's experience comes from the San Francisco office of Anderson & Lembke (McCann Erickson). As a Senior
Account Planner with A&L (1994-96), Jim brought customer insight and understanding to a number of brand and product issues
for client companies Microsoft, 3Com, Autodesk and Global Village.
Most recently Jim worked as a Partner at the BRS Group, where he built a strong base of high-profile client companies. Throughout
his practice Jim has taken a consultative approach, making an effort to fully understand the business issues and implications
at hand before recommending and conducting research.
Jim is a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, where he received a BA in History and Literary Criticism. Jim also completed
a graduate certificate program in Business and French at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
